Draft Kings: +5000
Former USC quarterback Caleb Williams is almost assuredly going to be the first name off the board when the 2024 NFL draft finally arrives. What is less certain; however, is to whom Williams will be going when his name is called. While most believe that the Bears will ultimately be the ones making that selection, it’s not a foregone conclusion.
The popular opinion is that the Bears should cut their losses with current quarterback Justin Fields, take Williams, and hit the reset button, getting what they can in a trade for Fields. But what happens if the Bears don’t see it that way?
Chicago *could* decide that the better option is to trade the first pick to a QB-hungry team, get a haul, and get weapons around Fields. In that case, Minnesota could be that QB-hungry team. It’s a highly unlikely scenario, but it’s one that Draft Kings isn’t discounting at +5000.
