A Jewish girls’ school in Toronto, Canada was hit by gunfire early Saturday. CCTV outside the school captured two shooters opening fire at Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School. The incident occurred at 5 am on Saturday & damaged the front of the school, reports say. Police have intensified patrol in the school’s North Toronto neighbourhood.
Canadian PM Justin Trudeau called the incident a “brazen act of antisemitism”. The incident comes amid war in Gaza, sparked by the Oct 7 attack on Israel by Hamas. Hamas killed around 1,200 Israelis & took hundreds hostage. Israel, in retaliation, has killed over 35,000 Palestinians.
