Aquarion Water Company continues work on the water infrastructure in Greenwich. On March 13, construction of a pressure-reducing facility project is scheduled to begin within the town right-of-way near the intersection of Stanwich Road and Dublin Hill Road.

The project is designed to correct low pressure in the distribution system that typically occurs during the summer high demand season. The infrastructure upgrade is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system and to ensure the highest quality water and service. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

Because of the construction, residences and businesses should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during normal working hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Danbury-based David Tinker Excavating Inc. will be serving as the general contractor for the project.

To keep customers informed about scheduled/unscheduled work, Aquarion uses an Everbridge notification system to call affected customers. Aquarion encourages customers to sign up for the free service at www.aquarionwater.com/alerts
