Horse Racing Tips: Nap of the Day

Published

on

Ben Linfoot has a bet for every meeting in the UK on Monday with the Nap running at Wetherby.

BEAKSTOWN – 4.25 Wetherby (NAP)

Dan Skelton has a 30% strike-rate at Wetherby and he sends just the one up the A1 for Monday’s meeting when BEAKSTOWN returns in the Watch The Cheltenham Festival On Racing TV Handicap Chase.

The 10-year-old goes well fresh and he was struck into when last seen over three months ago at Newbury, so a line is struck through that run after he had previous gone well in a close-up fourth in the Old Roan Chase on his seasonal reappearance.

He’s dropped 4lb for those two runs, though, and runs off 135 here, carrying top weight in a 0-140, and it looks an ideal opportunity to get back on track.

CHARGING POINT – 4.10 Southwell

CHARGING POINT can power to success in the Star Sports Owners Club Guarantee Handicap Hurdle at Southwell.

Laura Morgan’s five-year-old has learnt his trade here and shaped well on handicap debut at this track last time when third behind the upwardly-mobile White Rhino (won again since).

That’s a better effort than it looked on the day and this is Morgan’s winningmost track (23/137 17%).

BLETCHLEY STORM – 6.30 Wolverhampton

Michael Bell has got his all-weather horses in good nick and his BLETCHLEY STORM could take a major step forward in the Talksport Powered By Fans Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton.

She has plenty to find on the figures, and she will qualify for handicaps after this race, but she is small bet at a big price territory following an eye-catching run at Southwell last time.

Dropped in from her wide draw, she was keen and green but ran on nicely in the straight and I reckon she’ll improve plenty from that on her third run switched to Wolverhampton.

March winners:

  • Dibble Decker 9/4
  • Santos Blue 3/1 (NAP)
  • Sweet Will 100/30
