MANILA, Philippines — Listed Pacific Online Systems Corp. has won the bidding for the five-year contract for lease provision of a web-based app for electronic lotto or “e-lotto” system.

In a stock exchange filing, Pacific Online said the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Special Bids and Awards Committee (PCSO-SBAC) has declared the company’s bid as the single calculated bid for the procurement of five-year lease for e-lotto.

As the single calculated bid, Pacific Online said its bid would be subjected to post qualification review by the PCSO-SBAC.

“Should there be no issues raised during post-qualification, it is expected that the PCSO-SBAC will be issuing its notice of award,” the company said.

PCSO signed in August last year a memorandum of agreement with Pacific Online, making the latter the exclusive system and technology provider for the one-year trial run of e-lotto gaming in the country.

This first ever official web-based application betting platform was made available to fully registered and PCSO-verified players 18 years old and above starting Dec. 15, 2023.

However, PCSO has decided to cut short the one-year test run of the web-based lotto betting app platform, prompting it to initiate a bidding for the five-year contract for lease provision.

Pacific Online is engaged in the development and management of online computer systems, terminals and software for the country’s lottery industry.

It provides technical and market expertise for the distribution of lottery products in partnership with the state-run PCSO.
