Actor Zachary Quinto has found himself unwelcome at a restaurant in Toronto after an incident where he allegedly treated the staff poorly.

The restaurant, called Manita, took to Instagram on June 2 to share their experience, stating, “Zachary Quinto — an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer.” They accused the actor of yelling at staff like “an entitled child” when he didn’t respond to texts informing him his table was ready.

The post continued, “He refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren’t available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for.” Manita claimed Quinto’s behavior made their host cry and left other diners uncomfortable. The restaurant concluded their message with, “Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita but you are NOT one of them.”

Following the restaurant’s post, social media users criticized the 47-year-old Stark Trek actor in the comments section. “👏 good for you, being a ‘celebrity’ shouldn’t strip you of your basic manners and how to treat other human beings,” remarked one user, while another said, “Props to you for defending your staff! Servers and hosts have to put up with way too much, whether it be from a celebrity or not! ❤️” One user even commented on Quinto’s Spock, saying, “Nimoy is the og, best Spock anyway. And he was always lovely. Wonderful of you to support your workers! 🖖”

Manita, which is known as a versatile restaurant, grocery, café, and bar, emphasized that while they often host many celebrities, they found Quinto’s actions unacceptable and decided to make their stance public.

Quinto or his rep has yet to make any comment about the incident.
