Lottery player makes history, wins state’s largest online jackpot worth .19M

MICHIGAN (WNEM) – A Michigan lottery player has made history after winning the largest online prize, which was the $7.19 million Lotto 47 jackpot.

The previous record for the largest prize won online was $5.75 million and was won in February and March of 2021 by two Lucky For Life players.

The Lotto 47 player matched all six numbers, 22-24-26-40-41-44, to win the jackpot. The player should contact the Lottery’s Player Relations division by calling 844-917-6325 to set up an appointment to claim their prize.

Lotto 47 tickets are valid for one year from the date of the drawing.

“Congratulations to the lucky Michigan Lottery player who made history last night winning a $7.19 million Lotto 47 jackpot, with a ticket bought online,” said Suzanna Shkreli, lottery commissioner. “The lottery’s online game portfolio gives Michiganders the chance to win huge jackpot prizes with tools that promote responsible play while supporting public schools. This is a huge win for the lucky player and the Michigan Lottery’s industry-leading online game platform.”

This big win marks the third time the Lotto 47 jackpot has been won in 2024: on Jan. 21 a winning ticket was sold in Cadillac with a jackpot worth $4.37 million, and on Jan. 31 a winning ticket was sold in Sparta with a jackpot worth $1.1 million.
